The third monthly meeting of Tamilnadu-Pondicherry Chapter (IRIA) and second monthly meeting of Pondicherry subchapter of IRIA was hosted by the Department of RadioDiagnosis JIPMER Pondicherry on 30^th April 2017.

The subchapter president and Secretary Dr K Nagarajan Addi.Professor & HOD, JIPMER & Dr Nadaradjan Consultant Radiologist, Cuddalore GH organized the meeting with a CME on 'Cardiovascular & Thoracic Radiology'. Nearly 80 participants (radiologists and residents) attended the meeting and the CME.

The CME started with invocation and inauguration. Dr K Nagarajan welcomed the gathering and Dr Nadaradjan briefed the subchapter activities. Dr D Ramesh Secretary TNPY IRIA and Dr K.Rajan President TN-PY IRIA felicitated the meeting.

The CME speakers and their topics were Dr Rajesh Kannan Associate Professor, Amrita Inst. of Med Sciences, Kochi (Cardiac MRI - The Basics), Dr Aparna Professor of Radiology CMC Vellore (Interstitial Lung Diseases), Dr Udhayakumar Assistant Professor of Radio-Diagnosis, MGMCRI (Thoracic Interventions - MGMCRI experience) and Dr NK Shyamkumar Professor of Radiology CMC Vellore (Thoracic Interventions - Case-based discussion).

The sessions were chaired by Dr K.Rajan, Dr K.V.Rajasekar, Dr Kanagasabai, Dr Nadaradjan, Dr D Ramesh, Dr A.Ramesh (JIPMER), Dr Nagarajan and Dr Venkatesh. Dr Bhawna SRMC and Dr KV Rajasekar were the judges for the paper presentations. Ten papers were presented given the certificates - 2 each from JIPMER, CMC Vellore, MMC, SVMCH and 1 each from Stanley and MGMCRI. Three presentations awarded prize cheques with the certificates.
